Why is illiteracy an honor for Prophet Muhammad?
Neither did you (O Muhammad) read any book before it (The Quraan), nor did you write any book (whatsoever) with your right hand. In that case, indeed, the followers of falsehood might have doubted.

Those who reject Our (Allaah's) Signs and the Meeting in the Hereafter, vain are their deeds: can they expect to be rewarded except as they have wrought?
Moossa chose seventy of his people for the appointment (on Mount Toor). When they arrived they were seized by a tremor. (Moossa) said: "O Lord, if You had so pleased You could have annihilated them and me before this. Will You destroy us for something the foolish among us have done? This is but a trial from You whereby You will lead whom You will astray and guide whom You please. You are our savior, so forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the best of forgivers. (6:155)
Enjoin for us good in the world, and good in the world to come. We turn to You (Allaah) alone." And the Lord said: "I punish only those whom I will, but My mercy enfolds everything. I shall enjoin it for those who take heed for themselves, who pay the zakat and believe in My signs, (6:156)
"Those who follow the Messenger, the ILLITERATE PROPHET, whom they find written down in their own (Scriptures) - in the Tawraah and in the Injeel - for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); he releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honor him, help him, and follow the Light which is sent down with him, it is they who will prosper." (6:157)

I am sent unto you all, as the Messenger of Allaah, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: there is no god but He (Allaah): it is He (Allaah) that gives both life and death. So believe in Allaah and His Messenger, the ILLITERATE PROPHET, who believed in Allaah and His Words: follow him that (so) you may be guided." (6:158)

Doofesh, My own view is that this planet is used as a penal colony, lunatic asylum and dumping ground by a superior civilization, to get rid of the undesirable and unfit. I can't prove it, but you can't disprove it either.

The Quraan 51:56. And I (Allaah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (alone).
The Quraan 23:115. "Do you (mankind) think that We (Allaah) had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us (Allaah)?"
The Quraan 10:4. To Him (Allaah) is the return of all of you. The Promise of Allaah is true. It is He who begins the creation and then will repeat it, that He may reward with justice those who believed and did deeds of righteousness. But those who disbelieved will have a drink of boiling fluids and painful torment because they used to disbelieve.
LIFE AND DEATH
The Quraan 67:1. Blessed be He (Allaah) in Whose Hand is the dominion/sovereignty/kingdom; and He is Able to do all things. 2. Who created death and life that He may TEST you which of you is best in deed. And He is All-Mighty, Oft-Forgiving.
The Quraan 6:32. And the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement. But far better is the house in the Hereafter for those who are the pious. Will you not then reflect?
DAY AND NIGHT
The Quraan 25:62. And it is He (Allaah) who made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires to recognize.

Doofesh, Ayatollah Khomeini's fatwa, for example. I felt at once that here was something that completely committed me to have opinion of i-slam. It was a matter of everything I disliked versus everything I loved. On the dislike list: dictatorship, most oppressive religion, stupidity, demagogy, censorship, bullying, and intimidation. In the love column: literature, irony, humor, the individual, and the defense of free expression.

There is no god but Allaah.

ISSLAAM is a word of the Arabic language which means "submission". Theologically it means the act of submitting in peace to the will of Allaah as The Creator and Possessor of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. This submission entails bearing witness that THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAAH. Submission requires that a person submitting to Allaah should entrust his command to the control of Allaah. Obedience to Allaah is the main feature of submission. A Musslim is such a person who submits to Allaah and obeys him in all that He commands, and refrains from all that which Allaah forbids.
- Truly, the religion according to Allaah is Isslaam. Those who were given the Scripture did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allaah, then surely, Allaah is Swift in calling to account.
- And whoever seeks a religion other than Isslaam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.
- ... This day, I (Allaah) have perfected your religion (Isslaam) for you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Isslaam as your religion.
- And who does more wrong than the one who invents a lie against Allaah, while he is being invited to Isslaam? And Allaah guides not the people who are disbelieving folk.
